  • Why make a Will?

    A Will ensures that on your death assets are distributed in accordance with your wishes rather than according to the laws of the state should you die without a Will in place.

  • Do you do home visits?

    Yes I visit you in the comfort of your own home at a time which is convenient to you including evening and weekends for clients unavailable during normal working hours.

  • Who keeps your Will?

    You can however we recommend storing it in a safe place and we do offer lifetime secure storage through New Leaf Will Writers Federation.

  • What does an Executor do?

    An Executor is the person who carries out the instructions in your Will such as selling your property or ensuring that the correct amount of tax is paid on your estate, paying any debts and distributing your assets according to your instructions. On your death the Executor must apply for a Grant of Probate to get legal permission to administer the Estate. You appoint your Executors in your Will and they can be among the beneficiaries of the Will.

  • What is a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA)?

    A Lasting Power of Attorney(LPA) is a legal document which allows someone you appoint to look after your interests if you are unable to do so yourself. There are two separate LPA’s – Property and Financial Affairs and Health and Welfare.

  • What is a Trust?

    You appoint Trustees who become the legal owners of the assets placed into the Trust and they act in the interests of the beneficiaries. A Trust is commonly used in the preservation of assets or in the case of the protection of a vulnerable person or a beneficiary who may not be able to look after their own financial affairs.
